    Description

    287. A pair of authentic Native woven "basket" purses from the Island of Guam in 1927.  Here are a pair (one small, one larger) of authentic Native Islander woven round purses traditionally used by the natives of Guam who are Americans.  These are accompanied by a card/note by the original purchaser(who signed the card) which dates and locates their acquisition.  The larger of the two measures 4 1/2" diameter X 3 1/2" tall and the smaller measures 4" diameter X 2 3/4" tall.  These are remarkable works of art!  The combined weight of the pair is 3 ounces but would be shipped in a medium priority box in order to protect them.
