    Description

Antique Classic Navajo Native American Rug 80x58 Heavy Wool Hand Woven c. 1910. Condition is Used.
    What a BEAUTIFUL weaving!
This rug is a CLASSIC Navajo from the 1910’s. That’s 110 years old!!
From a friends mother’s estate. Non smoking, non pet home.
She purchased it July 25, 1998 at the GALLERY OF THE AMERICAN WEST, Sacramento California.
This rug has been dearly loved, cherished and used. One corner is missing its tassel. And may have slight random small spots.
It has spirit line or weavers path allowing exit of the weavers soul. As you can imagine their heart and soul went into the weaving of this beauty.
It has lazy lines or “pauses” ( diagonal lines across the wefts)
It measures approximately 80” long and 58” wide. It is not perfect symmetrical but pretty darn close.
One side shows better than the other. Photo 1 is the best side and most representative of the true colors, the red may actually be a bit deeper.
There is a slight bleed mostly visible on the same side as the splatter marks. See photos # 4 and 6. You may want to try to have it cleaned, but it is entirely up to you.
    Slight edge wear/ pulls as photographed in photos # 7, 8, 9.
I cannot attest to it having moth nibbles or not, as it’s too heavy for me to hold up to the light, but it looks pretty solid.
Please see photos as they are part of the description. Use zoom to enhance photographs.
