    Description

This is a wonderful old Navajo rug that dates before the 1930s.  It measures approximately 71 1/2" long and 52 3/4" across.  The rug is made out of hand-spun wool.  The brown, tan and cream colors are from different shades of wool.  The center of the rug has a wonderful geometric design.  There is a whirling log symbol in each corner of the rug.  The whirling log symbol is sacred to the Native Americans.  It represents well being, good luck and protection.  The rug has a dark brown train track border.  Please see photos above for condition.  There is no moth damage or holes in the rug.  It is in great condition especially for its age.  Thank you for looking!
