BRITISH 1878 PATTERN ROYAL ARTILLERY HELMET
ID’d 1878 pattern British Officer of Artillery Helmet; Black wool covered cork bodied helmet with gilded brass fittings; very good, toned King’s Crown gilt brass R.A. helmet plate. Ball fitting to the top of the helmet spike base, with rose side bosses & full chinstrap; original leather sweatband having named Tailors/size tag, with partial remains of original red silk lining. Circa 1902.
