    Chuukese Trukese love-stick.
    In the old days, young men from the island of Chuuk in Micronesia used these love-sticks when courting their lady friends. They would crawl up to their sweetheart’s thatch house at night, knowing which side of the house the girl was sleeping at, and insert their love-stick through the thatch, prodding the young lady awake. Each young man had a distinctively carved stick. The lady knew who was calling from the pattern of notches on the stick. This vintage love-stick is in fine condition, 20” long. Ships in sturdy mailing tube.
