Iight Rail in the Twin Cities
The year 2004 saw the launch of two very successful new light rail40
systems in the US (as well as others in the world). First there was Houston on January 1; then in June, rail transit returned to the Minneapolis portion of the Twin Cities after an absence of exactly 5o years. Several ERA members were on hand to watch the launch of service over the long weekend of June 25-28. Ray Berger submits this complete report along with photos taken along the line.
