    Description

    Up for bid is a vintage tropical wood carved sea turtle figure, age unknown.
    It is about 8 ¾ inches long by 5 inches wide by 2 5/8 inches tall.
    The body is hand carved from a single piece of dense tropical wood.
    The flipper are carved separately and inserted.
    It has a worn finish.
    It has a scratched “WD” on the underside, possibly a maker’s mark.
    Condition on the sculpture is fairly good.
    One flipper was broken and glued back on.
    There is one split on the underside and normal wear from handling.
    A nice old wood carving with character!
