hand-carved figures represent Shamans. These tribal members acted as mediators in their cultures and claimed to have communicated with spirits on behalf of their tribes, including the spirits of the deceased.

and craftsmanship in facial features, jewelry and intricate hair design are carefully executed.  A dark brown wood completes the figures which over the years has attained a beautiful patina. Made in the Philippines, these exotic carvings are interesting additions to any environment.
