Allan Saunders (1897-1989) ~ Marion Saunders (1908-1998)
Early 20th century (100+yr old) Pacific Island Carving. Because of the decorations around the top of the basket we are assigning it to the Austral Islands. We will continue researching. The Saunders moved into their Woodlawn home in 1955. University of Hawaii educators of Art & Anthropology: Marion labeled this artifact during the pre-zipcode years (pre-1963).
