Stemming from Invacare’s established Aquatec Ocean Line, the new Ocean Ergo line offers additional features to make personal care even easier. The newly contoured seat surface encourages a more upright and stable seating position as well as comfort. The new ergonomic seat plate has been designed based on the contours and imprints of real people. The seat also offers a 5-degree tilt, which allows for a more natural squat position for toileting. The front of the seat also features transfer supports for easier user positioning. The backrest is tension adjustable for comfort. To adjust the tension merely tighten or loosen the straps which connect at the back.
Enhanced Maneuverability
The new optimized wheelbase allows caregivers to maneuver the Ocean Ergo chair more easily and into smaller spaces. At the same time, greater maneuverability allows for a better fit over standard toilets giving the user more independence in toileting. Greater maneuverability means more access to more places. The armrests swing away to accommodate different user needs. The footrests offer textured plates and heel straps for security. The footrests also swing clear for easier loading, positioning and transferring. The tension adjustable back and quick-release buckles are entirely machine washable for easy cleaning.
