Description
Featured here is a lovely vintage Purinton Slipware pitcher in their famous Apple pattern, expertly crafted in the early 1950's in Ohio. An early example of mid-century design, the sleek lines of the piece really accentuate its ergonomics. With a forward spout and angular handle, it has a pleasant, stylish look. The illustration on each side is a handpainted apple with yellow and brown highlights, as well as six green leaves around it. The handle has lines of the same color scheme, and one final leaf rests on the spout. It truly is a beautiful pitcher. We also have two other slipware pitchers, one a smaller version of this one. The last photo shows all three from Purinton and they are in separate listings, so be sure to search our store if interested, or contact us.
In great condition, with a small straw mark on the back near the handle, and some shelf wear on the underside. See pictures for closer detail.
Measures about 10.75" from handle to spout, about 7.5" tall, and about 8" wide.
