    Description

    Lg Serving Platter - IROQUOIS BLUE, 190-A, W. S. George, 1948-55 - Great Condition!
Wonderful vintage oval serving platter by W. S. George Pottery Co of East Palestine, Ohio, USA! "Cavitt-Shaw" was a division of W. S. George. This company went out of business in 1955.
This is the IROQUOIS BLUE pattern line from WS George. It measures 15.5" long and 13" wide, and is decorated with blue, salmon red, beige and black in a pattern that is reminiscent of Native American beadwork. This pattern was produced from 1948-1955.
Fully marked as shown on the bottom. No chips, cracks, or damage. There is wear to the outer gold rim from normal cleaning and stacking over the years. One small flaw in the ceramic, which I tried to capture in 5th pic. Only a small amount of scratching and utensil marks.
    Thanks for looking!
