The Louis Garneau Course 2LS carbon road shoes are the epitome of well-designed, high-performance footwear. Beginning with the sole, its Exo-Jet carbon outsole is constructed of hot melt carbon, which means that the carbon fibers used were further processed, making them not only lighter, but thinner. This creates a shoe that is stronger and closer to the pedal for optimum efficiency. Additionally, the Course 2LS shoe also has a patented multi-vent system that takes in air through vents in the sole, channeling airflow through the sole of the shoe via two internal channels and evacuating the air through another vent in the sole for the ultimate in comfort. The shoe's Boa closure system dials-in a more precise fit by evenly distributing pressure and reducing pressure points. The Boa reel system also offers infinite degrees of fine-tuning. Dual reels on the Course 2LS shoe offer varying amounts of security and tension provided by individual dials to the cuneiform bones and metatarsal bones. Increased power transfer is achieved not only through the carbon fiber outsole but the HRS-300 heel system. This system features a heel injected with nylon. Since injected nylon is an amazingly resistant material that has an extremely low coefficient of friction, it perfectly secures the heel in place, optimizes fit, and reduces loss of power from slippage.
