It is my pleasure to present for auction items belonging to the President of the Lions International, HARRY J. ASLAN and his wife. These items have been recently acquired from a museum in Kingsburg, California and many were displayed in the museum. They were gifts to Mr. Aslan from several international dignitaries
from China to New Zealand, Australia, Philippines and beyond.
The canoe was a gift from the Maori Lions of Auckland, New Zealand to Mr. & Mrs. Aslan. It was on display at the museum and the small display card will be
included
as well.
For your auction consideration I have this wonderful carved replica of an old Moari Waka War canoe. The canoe measures approx. 29
long with the parts attached, 24 1/4" with the parts removed and about 11 1/2" tall. The 4 oars
, 2 display stands and interior mat shown in the photos are included. The canoe is fully signed on the bottom and it weighs 1 1/2" with all parts.
It's in very good to excellent condition and I really don't see any problems to report. It will be taken apart with pieces wrapped separately and carefully packaged for shipping to its new home. I'm happy to offer FREE U.S.
