Description

This auction is for the 3 items that you see in the picture and nothing else. The picture is representative of a like item as I do have several of these to offer in future auctions. I will be checking these to be straight and fully serviceable. These most likely are used but some might even be new.
The composition of these elements is basically steel with a outer and inner copper coating. (Copper Clad). These elements are also compatible with the AB-21 through AB-24 shorter elements and also compatible with the AB-15 and MP-68 bases including the OE-254 feed cone assembly. All these units have screw threads to assemble them in different lengths and configurations as needed.
I personally have used combinations of these elements and bases in ground plane configurations in all bands 20M through 2M. I always preferred wiping the copper portion with Vaseline when assembling them so that made it easy to take them apart at later dates.
I have in the past broken the little ball at the top of the MS-118 or AB-24 and put in a brass welding rod inside and fine adjusted it to a favorite operating frequency and solder it or clamp it. Many stingers will also fit inside the top element instead of the brass rod. Ground plane antennas are typically 50 ohms and with RG8 or RG58 feedline you get very nice matches to your sender (XMTR). Be careful not to mention the word

in listings as it will probably cause you a problem.
When the 3 elements are screwed together they are about 9'5" long. (2.87M). When using these in the ground plane configurations on HF bands I used wire for the radials which doubled as guy lines.
I do combine items when and if possible or practical.
