Description
This listing is for a Vintage Papua New Guinea Tondu Sabi hand Carved Wood Mask by Lucas Tangun .A rather heavy and large carving , about 28 inches by 8 inches by 6 1/4 inches , weighing about 13 lbs in net weight, with a metal cable used to previously and securely hang it for display.

Born July 15, 1969, Lucas Tangun learned to carve from his father.
Growing up in Tambanum Village he was exposed to many skilled master carvers and showed remarkable promise from an early age.
His talent and skill are wide ranging encompassing both large and delicate refined sculpture.
In 1986 he spent a year at the National Art School in Post Moresby where he taught others. During his stay, he carved support posts for a number of public buildings and participated in an exhibition.

Not signed so I guess its a good idea to somehow label the panel for future identification.
