Description
Inorganic non-selective polyfunctional enterosorbent based on highly dispersed silica with particle sizes up to 0.09 mm and with the chemical formula SiO 2, manufactured by Polysorb , Russian Federation.

silicon dioxide colloidal 50 g
Powder for suspension for oral administration; light, amorphous, white or white with a bluish tint, odorless; when agitated with water, forms a suspension.

DOSING AND ADMINISTRATION:
Polysorb is taken orally only in the form of an aqueous suspension. To obtain a suspension, the required amount of the drug is thoroughly mixed in 1 / 4-1 / 2 cups of water. It is recommended to prepare a fresh suspension before each dose and drink it 1 hour before eating or taking other drugs.
For adults, the drug Polysorb is prescribed in an average daily dose of 0.1-0.2 g per 1 kg of body weight (6-12 g).
Multiplicity of admission is 3-4 times / day . The maximum daily dose in adults is 0.33 g / kg body weight (20 g).
A single dosage of Polysorb for children depends on body weight (see table).
Daily dosage = single dose × 3 times per day.

The duration of treatment depends on the diagnosis and severity of the disease. The course of treatment for acute intoxication is 3-5 days; with allergic diseases and chronic intoxications - up to 10-14 days. After 2-3 weeks, a repeat of the course of treatment is possible.
APPLICATION FOR PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING:
Polysorb during pregnancy does not have a negative effect on the fetus.
It is possible to use Polysorb during pregnancy and lactation according to indications and in recommended doses.

The daily dose of Polysorb for children depends on body weight.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
With prolonged use of Polysorb (more than 14 days), absorption of vitamins and calcium may be impaired, and therefore, prophylactic administration of multivitamin preparations and preparations containing calcium is recommended.
Outwardly powder preparation Polysorb can be used in complex treatment of festering wounds, trophic ulcers and burns.
OVERDOSE:
Currently, there is no evidence of an overdose of Polysorb.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Stomach ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer

DRUG INTERACTION:
