    Description

Vintage Pre-1960, SHINOLA WAX LIQUID SHOE POLISH w/ ORIGINAL LABELS,
    Brown
    and
    Black
    TWO bottles of
    Shinola
! One Brown, one Black. Both bottles look to be the same size, the black one is labeled 2½ ounces
. They measure about 4¼" tall
. Brown bottle has embossed on the shoulder area "EASY DIP WELL." Both bottles have embossed letters on the bottom which I'm having trouble reading
Photos are a good representation of the labels and general condition. I have not opened them, so I can't tell you the quality of what's left of the contents. I'll be happy to answer questions the best I can. I will package them so they remain sealed.
    Shinola
is a defunct American brand of shoe polish founded in Rochester, NY in 1877 as the American Chemical Manufacturing and Mining Company, produced the polish under a sequence of different owners. B
y the 1950s, it was owned by RIT Products, a division of Best Foods. In 1960, the company went out of business and the brand ceased to be produced
. It was popular during the first half of the 20th century and was
    immortalized in
    the American lexicon in the
colloquial English phrase, "You don't know s*** from Shinola" — a way to call someone stupid or ignorant.
Will be shipped to the continental US only, in a flat rate Priority Mail box.
