Caps offer greater sealing ability because of the vapor barrier through the polyethylene (plastic) outer sheath. The Phenolic Caps will also accept the same shrink-wrap that has been vacuumed into place by the shrink wrap. Qorpak Black Phenolic Screw Caps with Poly-Seal Liner are excellent for protecting bottles and jars filled with liquids from daylight to sterilization.
