Richard Anderson Bowl – Unique & 'Only one' of a kind with FANTASTIC Inclusions

"This bowl is made from
a sea washed Jade Cobble
originally weighing
25 lb
.
The stone is a
beautiful translucent deep sea blue green
color with
interesting and rare inclusions of iron pyrites and copper
, under magnification it has a range of as yet unidentified beautiful crystalline structures and part mother case is still attached.
The rind is hard and beautifully coloured.
There is a ring of
rare red
as seen in the photos.
This is from an area unknown to many and t
he nearest known jade deposits are many kilometers away.
This stone is from a seam that has been eroded out of a cliff by the sea. The stone has fallen on a rocky ledge that is washed by half of the tide, the stone broke up in the fall and
over millions of years has been polished and tumbled by the sea
, all the time being trapped on the ledge.
This is the only piece of jade in the world from this source.
The stone is hard and fine grained. Stone of this colour and with these rare inclusions has never been seen before.
In studying the geology of the area and the pieces of stone strewn around
I have reason to believe that this is an exclusive deposit.
The residues of sea encrustations are still evident on the stone.
The bowl shape is deep and fine being very thick (Over 2 inches or 50 mms)in places. The surface has a fine satin finish.
A blend of nature, art and function.
I have made many a bowls but this the best of them."
