1. I purchased this shower chair for my father. He had a heart attack, mild one and had already had several strokes. He had gotten to the point that he would stumble and fall and had already fell out of the shower several times. He is 84 and my mom is 80 who now is unable to walk due to her bones breaking and crumbling and a hip surgery that went bad. Anyway they had a shower chair already but it was just not sturdy enough I felt like to hold them with out tipping over. So their home health nurse recommended this chair for all the right reasons that I was wanting one for and That was to make sure it did not tip, fold up under them and sturdy enough to hold them. THIS CHAIR HAS IT ALL. If you are wanting a chair for your parents or even yourself, this is the chair you need. I no longer have to worry about them in the shower now. Of course you should still never leave them unattended in the bathroom shower alone but you will never have to worry about their shower chair. So if you needing a shower chair this is the one you should buy. I promise you that you want be disappointed.
2. This chair is rock solid and easily assembled without tools. The legs are made of very heavy duty plastic pipe that screw into the seat (no tools needed). The bottom of the legs screw out separately (again, no tools needed or spring buttons to depress) to adjust the height. I'm 6' 2", so they are extended to maximum height and no wobbling. I've found nothing on the market to compare to this stools strength and stability.
