    Description

    VINTAGE PAPUA NEW GUINEA CHAMBRI LAKES SEPIK RIVER 30.5" CARVED MASK ART.
    Beautifully crafted by local artisans, this exquisite piece is double sided (almost symmetrical).  Hand carved, it has the double face with cowrie shell eyes on each side with ornamental headdress hand painted with typical full bird symbol on bottom of one side and small carved bird body in the middle of the opposite side. Fairly heavy ornate piece is precisely crafted out of one piece of wood.  A VERY elegant display piece for any collector.
