Vintage Universal No. 1 Meat Chopper Grinder LF & C New Britain. CT~Manual Crank

Vintage Landers Frary & Clark Universal No. 1 meat chopper/ grinder, impressed “L.F. & C. New Britain, Conn. U.S.A” on handle.  Manual crank handle with wooden tip.  Includes one screw-off grinding blade. Clamps to counter or table.  Heavy cast metal grinder weighing just over 4 lb.  Measures 10-1/2” long to end of handle.  Unsure of ounce capacity, but grinding chamber is small, measuring 3” L x 2-1/2” W x 2-1/2” D. Age unknown.  Universal meat chippers were produced as early as the 1880s, but this grinder may date from the 1940s.
The Universal No. 1 was followed by the No. 2 in the 1950s.

Excellent cosmetic condition. Metal is clean and bright outside and inside, with no rust.  Handle turns easily.  Not tested for grinding, but appears usable. View photos.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Contact me for a shipping quote before bidding/paying because due to some late international shipments sent First Class I recommend shipping all international sales by Priority International unless requested otherwise, so that packages can be tracked for delivery.
Whenever possible international shipments will be sent Flat Rate Priority to save on shipping charges.
If you request economy First Class International for small packages please be aware that delivery time for 1st Class International shipments can vary from 3-4 days to up to up to 4-5 weeks, and that First Class International packages cannot be tracked if a package is late or lost.
Due to size, some items cannot be sent First Class International.
