    Description

Found in a lot of military items.  I believe these were souvenirs brought back by the GI's from the Pacific theatre during WW2.  The image appears to be a lizard or a dragon, maybe a Komodo Dragon or other form of lizard in the region.
I think this may be an example of a ceremonial headdress as there is a bottom cutout as shown.  It is dark in this area so it may have been use to hold some type of liquid or other ceremonial item.  The "horn" is unusual, maybe used to pulverize food?  It was glued in at one time but has come loose.
    Measures 17 by 11 total.
