    Description

Very Nice Original Example of a BRODIES ww1 British helmet. The Brodies red mark is still on the head band. It is Marked H.V. 565. The H is for the manufacturer., Hutton and Sons Ltd of Sheffield. The V. Is for the steel Supplier, Vickers Limited also of Sheffield. They began supplying steel in 1916. The 565 is the heat treating lot number of the steel used to press the Helmet. The lining is there somewhat tattered, see photos. The donut to protect your top of head is still there. The strap is intact and good. The Helmet is a great artifact. Thanks for looking. Ask questions before bidding. Good luck. No international shipping
