WWII Steel MK Brodie Combat Doughboy Helmet w/Letter F Stencil & Liner C1916

Everything ships via priority mail with insurance for full value.  Yes, we will combine ship whenever and wherever possible.
I was unable to identify this helmet. It measures 12-1/2 from front to back, and 11-1/2 wide. It has no markings in the metal that I could find, and nothing on the liner. The leather strap is attached directly to the brim with what I learned is a British split pin, which I also learned was only done on the first Brodie design, BUT, it has a formed brim, which I understand was only done on the second design, as was the oil cloth liner. I have no idea what is round cork looking disk is actually made of. The buckle is brass. There is a letter F hand stenciled on the front. It is painted flat olive drab and is smooth.  The draw string on the cloth liner is made from gross grain ribbon.  Since I really do not know who made it or when, I appreciate any information you may have.

Important Shipping information: We ship via priority mail and use priority mail boxes.  We package in the highest grade materials including new, previously unused bubble wrap and styrofoam peanuts.  We include Insurance in the shipping estimate.  If we have a brown box that the item will fit into, we will ship via parcel post or first class mail if you ask.  We understand that shipping costs can be expensive.  We do our best to minimize the cost but if you email us before bidding or paying, we will do whatever we can to work with you.
Insurance is included in shipping cost.
Payment is expected within 3 days of close of auction. Shipments are generally made within 2 days of receipt of payment.
